Discovery Routes is a registered charity #868861998RR0001. Your donation supports local trails and trail programming in the Near North and Almaguin Highlands. Together we will protect and preserve our local trails now and for generations to come.

Donations to Discovery Routes can be directed to various funds: General Fund, ReCycle Bikes Program or Laurentian Escarpment Community Trails. Fill in our online donation form or download our fillable PDF form, indicate which fund you would like to direct your gift and mail a cheque payable to Discovery Routes to 205 Main Str East, North Bay, ON P1B 1B2.

Discovery Routes collects donations on behalf of some of our Trail Partners.

The Almaguin Community Trails are four-season trails behind Almaguin Highlands Secondary School. They are a community effort carried out entirely by volunteers. Donations to the Almaguin Community Trails help with the costs to maintain and expand the trails network.

The Forgotten Trails Association creates, maintains and promotes safe and ecologically sustainable trails of natural or historical significance in the South River area. The four-season, backcountry trails are managed by volunteers for the purpose of non-motorized recreational trail activities. Funds raised through donations help support volunteer trail building days and trail events.

The Friends of La Vase Portages‘ goal is to have the heritage and historical importance of the  La Vase Portages Route recognized and protected for future generations.  Funds raised help:

• to promote the protection of a useable portage from Trout Lake to Lake Nipissing that will reasonably reproduce the Voyageur experience
• to advocate for the protection of the land and waterways associated with the portages and trails
• to provide trails for multiple season non-motorized use and such other complimentary purposes not inconsistent with these objectives
