Cranberry Snowshoe Trail

Callander, North Bay

Description

The Cranberry Snowshoe Trails, also known as the Gauthier Marsh Trails, are an informal network of trails off Callander’s Cranberry Trail. The series of looped trails were established by volunteers to give people an opportunity to walk and enjoy nature away from the busier main trail. While the trails are on municipal lands, they are not recognized by either Callander or North Bay and therefore all maintenance and upkeep is done by community volunteers.

The trails are excellent for activities like walking and snowshoeing in the winter, but can also be used in the summer and fall. Wearing rubber boots is recommended when the ground is not frozen.

Cranberry Snowshoe Trails

The vast network of trails we celebrate exist on the traditional lands and waterways of the Anishinaabe people within the territory protected by the Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850 and Williams Treaties of 1923.
