Advertising and Sponsorship Opportunity

2023 Discovery Routes Adventure Trails Map CoverDiscovery Routes is excited to announce that a new Adventure Trails Map is in development. This popular local resource features: hundreds of kilometers of trails across the region; the volunteer groups who maintain the trails; and the businesses that support trail users along the way.

We invite outdoor and sustainability-minded businesses to sponsor the map as a way to give back to the trails and show your commitment to healthy, active communities.

Your participation supports local trail development, maintenance, and advocacy by Discovery Routes and our volunteer trail partners.

Indigenous Language Connections
As part of Discovery Routes commitment to reconciliation, language revitalization, and enhancing the educational value of our trails, we are working in collaboration with local Elders and Language Keepers to identify the original Anishinaabemowin names for key features like rivers, lakes and communities.

The map includes themed panels reflecting the services and activities that local and visiting trail users seek:

  • Sip & Savour – restaurants, cafes, breweries, etc.
  • Gear Up – bike shops, outfitters, trail tour operators, etc.
  • Discover – museums, attractions, etc.
  • Stay & Play – Trail-friendly accommodations
  • Trail Supporters – businesses that align with Discovery Routes’ mission to preserve and protect sustainable, multi-use trails
  • Other – TBD based on response

Production Run: 4,000 copies – June 2026

Distribution: Local, Regional and Province-wide *

* Working with tourism partners, the map is distributed across the province at relevant consumer shows like the Toronto Outdoor Adventure Show for free. Locally, trail maps are sold for $10 each by Discovery Routes and our volunteer Trail Partners as a fundraiser to support charitable programs across the region.

Cost to Participate

For a $250 contribution, businesses will receive:

  • Location pin with business name on the map
  • Business name with contact information including address, phone, social and web addresses and short business descriptor in one of the themed panel
  • 20 maps to distribute to staff, clients or customers, if appropriate
  • Wholesale pricing for additional maps for retail sales
