Description

This beautiful 2.5 km (1.6 mile) trail begins at the end of Cranberry Road in Callander, and stretches out to Callander Bay.  The trail branches off about half-way through, leading to a platform overlooking the Cranberry Marsh.  With interpretive signage, benches along the way, and a gorgeous view of Callander Bay, this trail is perfect for the whole family.

Rules for Use

  • ATVs, motorbikes prohibited
  • follow marked routes only
  • carry out all litter
  • keep to the right except when passing
  • fires are not permitted along the trail
  • smoking is prohibited
  • do not remove plant life
  • do not damage live trees by breaking branches or stripping bark
  • dogs must remain leashed at all times, and please clean up after them

Directions

From the HWY 11/17 junction near Seymour Street, take HWY 11 south to the Pinewood Park Drive/Highway 94 turnoff.  Turn left at the lights, and drive 2 km (1.2 mi) to Fairway Drive, where you will turn right.  Turn right again after 200 m (0.12 mi) onto Cranberry Road, where you will find the Cranberry Trail parking lot at the end.
